Today was another amazing day at the US Nationals. It was a smooth well organized sprint with perfect packed powder race trails. Its rad to come back to the states and race the US Nationals and see everyone I don’t get to hang with while on the world cups
It was a tough sprint race with a lot of hard finishes and some great competition. It seams like the level of sprint racing in the US increases each year and the US Nationals always turn into quite a showdown. There were a lot of people moving quickly out there. I won’t go into the race too much but it was pretty fun day. I tried to hammer out the qualifier as much as I could. I think i felt a little flat… the same kind of feeling I had during the 15k classic… because I felt like I was going to barf afterwards. But as the day went on I started to feel better and better. Randy was our only waxer here so the coaches have been busting their asses and putting in some long days for us, so thanks to them we had some pretty good skis. I don’t have any pics to put up right now but hopefully I will by tomorrow. Torin and I are going to pair up for the sprint relay tomorrow and Cook and Leif will make up the other USST team. The sprint relay here last year was gnarly with all the teams so i fired up for tomorrow. I like fast races with a lot of people banging into each other. well its late and I need to go to sleep, but check back later for pics.
