Wednesday, February 1st, 2012Congratulations to everyone who made the EHS and J2 teams and to everyone who participated in the qualifiers. Massachusetts skiers have been working hard and getting better every year. This year’s teams will be our best ever. And to those who didn’t quite make a team, keep working hard, and make it next year.
Mark February 26th on your calendar. We will have a team training day (with a focus on having fun). Location to be determined based on where there might be some snow.

Parents Lodging for the Massachusetts J2 Championship Race
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011Congratulations to those skiers that qualified for the Massachusetts J2 Nordic Team.
The J2 Festival will be held at Gunstock, in Gilford, NH on March 11th, 12th and 13th. The Massachusetts team will be staying at the Margate Resort, in Laconia, NH. The Massachusetts team has set aside a block of room for parents that like to stay at the Margate. When calling for a reservation indicate you are a Massachusetts J2 parent looking to reserve one of the blocked rooms for parents The contact numbers are 603-524-5210 toll free 1-800-MARGATE. If the Margate is full it is best to contact the Laconia Chamber for lodging in this area.
EHS Housing Information
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011EHS housing information for interested parents and families of Mass. EHS team skiers:
The 2011 EHS Championship will be held at Black Mountain in Rumford, ME Fri. 3/18 – Sun. 3/20/11. The Mass. State Team will be staying at the Linnell Motel & RestInn Conference Center on Rte. 2 about 6 miles west of Rumford. Rooms at the Linnell Motel have been reserved for Mass. team skiers for Fri. and Sat. nights (and Mass. is the only EHS team staying at the Linnell).
*****To do by 2/16: If any parents of 2011 EHS Mass. team members wish to reserve lodging, the additional rooms that are being held for you will soon be made available to parents from other NE states. We suggest that you contact the Linnell by this Wednesday to reserve a room–we would prefer to share the motel with Mass. parents, if possible!*****
Be sure to mention affiliation with the Mass. EHS team when reserving a room. When you call, you should speak to Tom at 207-364-4511.
