ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Eliska Hajkova (CU) and David Norris (MSU) skied to impressive wins today in the first day of competition at the Seawolf Invitational on the trails of Kincaid Park.
In the women’s race Hajkova completed the 5km course in just 13:52.5, besting her teammate Joanne Reid by twenty seconds. Jaime Bronga (UAA) finished third in 14:18.8 while Clara Chauvet (UNM) and Maria Graefnings (UU) took fourth and fifth respectively.
On the men’s side Norris opened up a 14 second margin over Rune Oedegaard (CU) on the 10km course. The University of Utah’s Miles Havlick took third in 24:47.5 while Andrew Dougherty (DU) and Tyler Reinking (MSU) grabbed fourth and fifth places respectively.
