Fire on Water

On Halloween night, most of Team FAST went and watched Logan swim at the High School Region 6 swim meet. As proof that true fitness can easily transfer from one mode of propulsion to another, he jumps into the high school swimming scene in late August, trains rediculously hard for two months to get the shoulders back into shape, and in no time is destroying all of the full time, year-round swimmers. This Region Championship was one of the most electrifying sporting events I have experienced live; watching your “little” brother upset multiple heavily-favored senior swimmers will have you cheering like a Euro football fanatic, trust me. In the 100 yd freestyle, he just out-touched a cross town rival senior by .03 seconds, and nearly broke a 25 year old Region Record set by an Olympic Trials swimmer; the packed grandstands were all on their feet, screaming, and the air was thick with energy.

Watching that meet was pretty much a workout in itself….

He raced 4 events. He got 4 gold medals. Sound familiar?
