In case it was not obvious, now is the time of year when I have the least amount of free time.  I basically wake up in the morning and then it’s go, go, go, until I fall into my bed at night.  I’m barely finding time to get in all my workouts, so writing about them on a blog is challenging. Why?  Because here at Camp Gray we are getting ready for the Olympics.  Well, sort of, summer camp is kind of like out olympics.  Anyway, I have been spending my time the past couple weeks doing an assortment of things.  These include, but are certainly not limited to:

1)Getting kitchen stuff in order so that I can pass the baton off to next year’s head cook

2)Working on getting/learning new music for summer camp, as well as preparing for our music orientation

3)Packing, moving into a new house for next year, unpacking, then packing again so I can move into my cabin for the summer

4)Double workouts (almost) every day

This last one is because our formal staff training begins on Thursday.  The 9 days after that will be the hardest for training for the whole year.  We are in sessions all day, except for about an hour or so each day.  My only time to workout will be early in the morning, but I won’t exactly be getting to bed early.  In order to make the most of only doing a few easy workouts in that time, I am attempting to do a pseudo intensity block in the days leading up to it.  Of course, this includes listening to my body and being willing to change my plan as I go along.  Monday-Thursday I have some optional training during the day, so I will at least be able to get in one quality workout on those days.

After staff training ends I will begin a weekly training plan for the summer.  I’ll let you know what that is when I figure it out.  This summer I also hope to post on here weekly.  But again, the next 2 weeks are kind of crazy!!!
