The season has come to end, by racking in the finals shots at the Craftsbury Spring Series. Sitting here in southern Vermont, converting media for post production, we reminisce about the winter and it seems that winter has come and gone before we could really begin to enjoy it. All we can hope for is a revival of winter next year and to be blessed by the snow gods. With the end of Skiing done, we are relaxing on the training side of life, but amping up our hours getting ready to produce Fact or Fiction. The prospects of producing a movie seems like all fun and games. We now are beginning to remember our long hours of hair pulling out with the frequent stops for a monster or red bull break, that are all vital in the making of a movie. Despite the hours logged, we are very excited to release Fact or Fiction, our yearly movie. To see some sample shots check out the link below. Be sure to keep up to date with our notifications about Fact or Fiction!
We caught some time to film the Junior National’s classic sprint at Soldier Hollow. It was a beautiful day to be out there filming and we acquired a solid amount of shots. Most of the footage we gained will be put towards a Junior Nationals segment for our season film. That being said we also through together this quick edit with the new content we collected from the heats. Enjoy.
We just finished up the last adjustments/test runs on our online store, hit it up if your interested in purchasing a Revived Films eastcoast filmcrew T. More products will be added in the near future.
Mid Season Update from Stratton Vt. After a rough start for winter, it seems that mother nature is starting to cooperate. The season is starting to come alive, with more skiing than 1km loops. We have slowly started to rack in some footage for our season film which will drop sometime in the summer. For those of you who haven’t heard we are planning on producing an hour length film, in which we will print on to dvds and distribute via revivedfilms.com. In the upcoming week, the crew will be splitting up a bit due to the racing schedules. With the group split up, we will be able to gain more footage from various places. We are hoping for a good last month of winter, both for ski results and film results. Look out for updates and what we are doing on our Facebook page. If you haven’t seen our cut from Rumford check it out.
Here is our pre-season teaser, from all of the shots that we have gotten so far this year. We traveled to Snow Mountain Ranch for our Fall Camp. This gave us a chance to get a jump start on our filming for the year. Along with good snow, training and filming we all had a great time. This gave the new SMS team time to bond and really become a tight group. We didn’t film too much for the first Eastern Cup because we were both sick. We are packin up the camera gear for nationals. We are excited this year because we will be getting media passes with course access, special thanks to fasterskier for hooking us up. This year you will see us filming a bunch, but we are going to do things differently this year. Unlike last year, we will save most of our footage for a longer and better season movie that will come out in the summer. That is not to say that we won’t be releasing anything for a long time, we plan to release a few teasers over the season. For those of you who have not heard, we have brought Corky Harrer on board this year as another filmer. We are stoked to have him on board. The three of us are ready to have a good season of skiing and filming. See you all in Maine in a few days!
Summer has passed and we are well into Fall. The leaves have changed and we are enjoying great foliage here in VT. We present our summer REEL, which is a compilation of shots that we took during our adventures in the summer. Filmed in VT, MT and UT. Hope you enjoy!
This is a promotional video for Skyler Davis from the 2010-2011 season. We have made serval drafts and this is the final product. We are proud to be an official sponsor for Skyler Davis in the 2011-2012 season. Enjoy the video and be sure to tell us how we did!
Hit up the tramp at Stratton Rec. Heres the edit, featuring Finn Kennedy and Corky Harrar.
Unfortunately we have nothing to show you guys YET… but in the next couple of weekends (only weekends because we just started school) we are going to be engaging in some deep projects that will be released on our website and of coarse here on our FS blog. If you have not checked out our website in the last week be sure to drop in on that, also, we have been ordering some merchandise in hopes to put together an online store. When winter roles around and your planning to come to some eastern cups be sure to find the RF team for NEW T’s, Trucker hats, stickers, and maybe some more goodies. We should also inform you that due to the fact that both the members of the RF team are J1′s we are probably not going to be releasing any videos of the distance races, However, we might pump out some edits of the sprints. Our year is going to be very spotty in terms of what we are going to film so bare with us if our footage isn’t quite like it was last year. Oh and enjoy some shots from Sun Valley Idaho (embedded below) featuring Keegan Swirbul.
For the past couple of weeks we have been shooting with Skyler Davis for his 2010/2011 promotional video, this project has been on both his and our minds for about 6 months now. We are pleased to say that we are making serious progress and the release date is scheduled for sometime around august 25th. Along with our effort to produce Skyler’s promo we are also continuing to release B-rolls every week or so, so stay updated for those by visiting this blog, our website, and our facebook page. In other news, half of Revived Films is in Utah and the other is going to be en route to Sun Valley Idaho on august 1st. Hopefully we will come back with some solid time lapses to put together into a little segment to upload for you guys. Remember, keep in our network loop and get stoked for Skyler Davis’s promotional video!
