This past weekend all the junior teams within Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana traveled to McCall to compete in the third and final Junior National Qualifier.  Racers competed in a 5k, 10k, or 15k skate race and a 5k classic race.  The races were held at the new Bear Basin in McCall, Idaho.  The trails proved to be great for races, with a variety of terrain, including speedy downhills and challenging climbs.  After the races and final tallying of scores, the Intermountain Junior National Team was named, leaving some extremely excited and others disappointed.  Next stop for the Intermountain skiers: Anchorage, Alaska.

Rick, You’re a better bowler than you were a wrestler! Your hat proves that you can take the guy out of the UP, but you can’t take the UP out of the guy. Congrats to you and all of your ski team’s successes. Good luck in Anchorage!
