Bio
I live in Ketchum, Idaho, and I am 16 years old. I ski for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. I have the privilege to ski with Rick Kapala and all of the Sun Valley Coaches. I have learned so much from Rick and my coaches that go far beyond ski racing. I believe that my greatest “result” has not been on a podium, but has been the lifestyle and mental strength I have gained from the ski team. In the summer I am a Road Bike Racer. I really enjoy doing both, and it is nice to be very competitive in two sports. I also enjoy exploring the outdoors and playing other sports like basketball and football. My family is incredibly supportive of me. My father is very active has always helped me in my endeavors. My brother is another great inspiration to me. He has worked incredibly hard and is
currently going to Harvard University. Finally, my mother is unbelievable. I think that she works harder than I do. She always gets me the right nutrition and finds ways to make my life even better so that I can train longer or rest more. Thanks to all my support crew!!

Bio
I started cross-country skiing when I was 13 and within two years it encompassed almost my entire life. I started the sport because I was a good runner and skiing was just something to do in the winter. But with my first season on snow, running became cross training for skiing. As I became more serious, the amount I trained increased, until eventually I was training year round. The walls of my room were hidden behind ski posters, presents for my birthday and Christmas were all ski related, and I was constantly on my way to another training camp or race. After graduation from Community School I decided to take a post-grad year to focus on ski training. I am now a member of the Sun Valley Olympic Development Team; where I get to train and learn from some of the fastest skiers in the country. Next year I plan to attend college in Vermont and continue skiing.

Bio
My athletic life style began with some mainstream sports like soccer, track, and mountain biking. And from there I began to run, hike, unicycle, kayak, freestyle walk, rock climb, road bike and pretty much anything else I could get my hands on! I had moderate success with all of these and enjoyed doing them, but then one day, my brother Lucas, joined the cross-country ski team. And I, of course, had to follow. At first it was lots of fun and games and happiness and candy, with the occasional real workout. I stuck with skiing and began to really love it. Eventually I worked my way up into the competitive level. Since that point, I have had a burning desire to compete and do well in all aspects of my life, be it athletics or school or extreme rubix cubing! But seriously, skiing is what I do!
