About

With three individual NCAA national champions and over 15 NCAA All Americans in the past five seasons, the University of Alaska Fairbanks has established itself as one of the top Nordic ski programs in the country.  Recent graduates now compete professionally in the US as well as on the World Cup circuit.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is an NCAA D-II institution with scholarships for both men’s and women’s skiing.  The Nanooks compete in the Central Collegiate Ski Association.  A long season of snow (mid October through the end of April) and low altitude make Fairbanks an ideal location for elite cross country skiers to train and study.

The University boasts excellent programs in a wide variety of subjects including engineering, natural resource management, fisheries, biology, business and art.
