–Tim Burke took eighth place in the Odlo City Biathlon race in Puttlingen, Germany, on Sunday, in front of an estimated 21,000 spectators. Austrian biathlete Christoph Sumann won the race.

–Jean-Philippe Leguellec and Tracy Barnes both doubled up at the North American Biathlon Rollerski Cup held in Jericho, Vermont, last weekend. Leguellec and Barnes both won the sprint and pursuit races in their respective genders, while a number of other Americans and Canadians competed. Craftsbury has a report on its website.

–Langrenn has excerpted a report from the Norwegian broadcaster NRK that says that up to half of all cross-country skiers suffer from asthma.

–The Globe and Mail in Canada has a cool story on the TransRockies mountain bike race, which doesn’t really have much to do with skiing aside from the fact that it ends at the Canmore Nordic Center, but it still sounds AWESOME.
