Wednesday’s Daily Roundup: Bjoergen to Race Sochi

–Scandinavian newspapers are reporting that Marit Bjoergen will race through the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. At the 2010 Games, Bjoergen had been noncommittal about her plans for the next four years, saying that she would race through the 2011 World Championships in Oslo and evaluate things then. She now says her goal is to top Bjorn Daehlie’s record of 46 World Cup victories, which would take her ten more.

–The Daily Yonder, a rural-focused blog, has an interesting article about the Norwegian skiers that competed for the University of Wyoming in the 1970s through the 1990s. Definitely worth a read.
